I thought I would start a little blog post so you guys could get to know me a little bit better.

First and foremost: I am taken. Just so you know. Hahaha, I actually have a partner, and this September will be our third anniversary!

Secondly: I came out when I was 14 (I am 21 now, just had my birthday in June).

Like most people, I didn't come out to everybody. I went to a private christian school so if I had been found out, I would have been expelled. But, my friends knew and supported me, and that's what mattered.

I didn't actually come out to my mom until I was 19 and in college. Now, my partner and I live with her (due to some unfortunate circumstances) and she is very supportive of us!

I live in Vegas and I am the marketing and visuals specialist at a Banana Republic on the Strip. I have currently been with this job for two years; it was my first ever job! I'm looking for something bigger and better though; always wanting to improve my life!

Like I mentioned, I went to college. I only completed two years though; it just got too expensive and I got too much debt in those two years to justify continuing. I had originally planned on majoring in Journalism, but after a semester of those classes I realized it wasn't for me and turned my interests towards interior design (typical gay man, right?). Well, I don't get more typical than that...I recently expressed interest in becoming a hair dresser. Yep. I know, so cliched...but I actually do enjoy it.

We will see where my road in life takes me though; I have a lot ahead of me and I'm looking forward to every bit of it!

Hi there! First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your anniversary!!!!!!

I'm new to LPSG as well and I am yet to blog! I read your story and it seems we have a bit in common which is so cool :D, although I am single and work is very hard to find at the moment.

I also went to a private catholic/christian school but everyone knew that we had Gay and Lesbian students and no one, not even the staff and the Marist brothers who run the school cared! Fortunately for me I wasn't expelled. People in my form were very close as well so it made school VERY enjoyable!!

I was also born in June :D :D. I'm on June the 1st and I turned 20 :p. I can't wait for my 21st to come :).

I came out to my family when I was 18 and my mum (knowing mothers) already knew I was Gay when I was 11 haha :p. My first eldest brother and my dad don't know I'm Gay because they are both very religious and I don't see the point in telling them because I know the outcome...not that I would care about what they think but I just don't want to have them bible thumping me 24/7...Those whores. Don't get me wrong though, I am Catholic but I'm not the same as my dad and my brother regarding my faith.

I've just finished uni but I also have a long way to go to get to that place I wanna be :). I'm training to be a flight attendant. I did want to study performing arts and become an actor, but here in New Zealand, acting gets you no where in reality. If I do pursue that career path then I will in a different country :). I would love to travel the world as a career and I love meeting new people so flight attending was what I wanted to do :) AND also because the job is to die for!! Travel and Tourism is HUGE in this country.

I think it's really sweet of your mum to take in your boyfriend!!! Bless her :).

Anyway, thanks for sharing your story :D

Thats a great job for only being 21. Keep learning and growing and you'll do fine. Welcome to the site by the way :)

I wish you (and your partner) all the best in your life's journey, TM. You sound like a lovely person and a lively go-getter--you're sure to achieve all the goals you set for yourself.
