quite a few in my family do. My brother performs all over the state with his band....country, rock, blues.. He's really REALLY good. In Kentucky that is... I'm the only one that left there for Cali.
Well, technically, there are no electric basses in bluegrass music. You would have to play the upright bass (bass fiddle).
(I dated a bluegrass musician/performer. I found that out that I couldn't play with the musicians because I had an electric bass. Bluegrass musicians and fans
are sticklers for the musical instruments in the genre.)
