Boundaries

Rant...

Have you ever had a friend who has no sense of boundaries, and like kudzu whatever is yours or catches your interest she suddenly also finds very attractive, men included? What makes someone like this? Is it competition? Is it jealousy? or an overwhelming sense of personal entitlement? Does anyone else attract this type of person to their life or more importantly to aspects of your life? Comment...

Sounds like they are unhappy with their own life, they see that yours is better so they want to be you or like you which as close as they'll get.
Maybe in their mind, they feel a connection with you so that boundaries no longer exist in their reality.

Thanks Dongalong. I know it is mean but at this moment I am fresh out of sympathy! LOL! It is just down right annoying and crass, actually. I had to at one point tell someone that they had to decide whether they wanted friends or host animals...

It is worse when they are relatives. My oldest sister and my brother-in-law has to do everything I do.
If I enroll in college, they have to go to school. If I enrolled in gym, those beyotches are in the gym. If I start cooking Thanksgiving for the family...those beyotches have to do a Christmas dinner and bake shit too.

I am like beyotches PLEASE GET YOUR OWN LIFE.

I hear you, I.

Oh I definitely have experienced that as well. it isnt a competition. You win! LOL! I actually heard Venus say that about Serena. That she wished Serena would enjoy being herself instead of trying to be Venus. She said that on Oprah years ago.

I sense this person admires you and want's to be like you. So take it with a grain of salt. Try think of it as a compliment. Which it may be. Jealousy? Competition? Perhaps.

Yeah. Do you know when my brother-in-law found out that I played guitar...he wanted ME to teach him to play guitar? I am like:

Come on now?! He wanted me to teach him how to play bass guitar, too. They (my sister and brother-in-law) are rich as fuck. He can go and get some lessons.

I currently have a friend that behaves like this. After my ex and I broke up he felt he needed to see what my ex was like sexually, his rationale was since we were broken up it as ok, it really pissed me off since the 3 of us had been friends previously. I let it be known I'm interested in a guy and he went out of his way to become friends with him, I don't even want to think what may have gone on between them...eeeeek!..........When we first met we did date for a short time, maybe a month and decided we would be better off friends.....this past week he asked me if he could "satisfy me" because he knew that I liked that from him. That happened one time only, 7 years ago.....I have no idea what is going on his head at this point......Is this some kind of flattery? I don't really understand.......

This "friend" is no longer welcome in my home due to a couple of other situations....like lying through his teeth.....

D,

The best compliment would be to become the best example of themselves they can become.

My cousin Gigi was & is exactly like this. Always has been. The one girl friend I did have like this was toxic in so many other ways until I eventually dumped her.

You hate to get to the point where you dont tell your friends anything .That isnt a friendship. But then perhaps some people dont really know what friendship is or maybe they have a very different idea of what friendship is all about.
