Over the years I have stayed in quite a few clothing optional gay resorts and guest houses. After I first dropped my pants to pose for art classes at my college I have been comfortable naked. Typically when anyone makes a reservation at one of these places they are comfortable too. From time to time there are guys who keep a Speedo on, but most seem to enjoy showing it all off.
What has surprised me is how often people outside of these facilities are able to see the nude guys inside of them. I was in one place and there was a high rise near it with many apartments having a straight view onto the nude pool deck. It surprised me there weren't stricter ordinances against being visible outside of the clothing optional facility.
At another place the pool area was outside of the big living room area of the house. There were large picture windows on both the front and back wall of that room so you could see from the road into the pool area. At another place I had a room on the second level with steps leading right down to the pool. When I stepped out of my room I could see people out on the road and into windows across the road, so they could obviously also see me.
I have also been at clothing optional, places where they are actually quite private but more than once have met neighbor's who had to get up on a ladder to trim trees or shrubs that didn't need trimming. It was just coincidence of course that the one tree they chose put their ladder right at the fence looking into the clothing optional, pool area.
I guess there are just as many gawkers who like spying on nude people as there are nude people who enjoy being watched. I just wonder if any clothing optional places ever get in trouble because nudity is visible outside of their properties? From my experiences it doesn't seem to be an issue but I can't believe someone doesn't make a fuss about it.
