(Tiny spoil alert)
I saw it again today, and I'm certain I didn't miss anything, and it’s actually better the second time around, although there isn’t as much suspense, it is somehow better, maybe it’s because I wasn’t so focused on what the monster was, and where it came from and wanting answers to my questions. I did sit through the credits this time, which seemed to take forever for the little bit of speech at the very end, it was ok, I think I could have lived without it, but since it sounded like “help us,” it leaves open the possibility for a sequel, which seems like a horrible idea. Something I did realize, that good old cliché of the black person dies first falls flat in this, she is actually the only survivor from their group. As soon as the credits start to roll some guy a few rows back says "Blair Witch," hilarious. I got in for free (but not really) because I used my re-admission pass from going to see 300 digital and the projector broke (I have another pass because the same thing happened the second time I went.) If you can manage going to the theater during the day you can basically have the entire room to yourself, it's insane, but the same doesn't hold for the art theater.
About that hidden message, I checked around online, and supposedly played backwards it says, "it's still alive", so I found a clip played forward and downloaded it, and used audacity to play it backwards, and it really does, it's freaky, yes the audio is choppy, but played back and forwards they sound nothing alike, it's kind of cool, but really creepy. I can't post it as an attachment, but you can hear it here http://cloverfieldmessage.ytmnd.com/ (and of course if you're like me and need to prove it for yourself you can download it with download helper in firefox and see for yourself, it's awesome) or send a p.m.
