So - I guess I have been called "Daddy" plenty of times on here now. Never to my face, though no doubt some are thinking it. So I am not going to lie, I was a voracious masturbator, especially at the end of my senior high school. I mean I had reached my "peak" so what do you expect? Of course, this tradition has continued. Since I am in that "Daddy" zone, some of my "equipment" is not working quite the way it once did. I have had some concerns over the past year, but have not said anything to my doctor. Lately, I have been needing the bathroom at night and sometimes I can barely make it. I drink a good deal of water daily, and I also take blood pressure medicine now. Like many, I suppose, I look up these symptoms on Google and then I freak out. I was more concerned recently so I said something to the doctor today. He asked me if I wanted him to check my prostrate. I am not sure I ever answered "yes" so quickly to that question. The poor guy could not find vaseline so he had to leave me for a couple of minutes. I am not going to lie, I was pretty nervous about what he might find.
Thankfully, he found a pretty normal prostrate. He got out a textbook and explained to me what could be happening to cause this urination issue and the dribbling that ends it. He is putting me on Flomax. It will be nice not having to look for a restroom when out and about or making the front of my undies wet. He is also going to do a PSA test, which I think is a good idea.
And, oh - my blood pressure was high. He asked why he switched my blood pressure medicine and I told him because the other stuff interfered with my sex life. I said, "Doc, please don't take away one of the very last pleasures I have." It was funny to watch him laugh as he did so with a knowing look on his face. I think I found out today that my doctor also masturbates. It would be just so hilarious if he were on LPSG. He is not, but, oh geez.
Anyway, whoever reads this. Make sure you get your equipment checked and a tune-up if things start to act differently than they did when you were 18. I know most men know that after a certain age, things start to go bad. I know it is scary to realize it and then wonder what is going on. It really is probably smarter to get checked. Sadly, I need to take my own medicine, but if I want to continue to remind myself of what it felt like to be 18, then I need to keep a check on things. You should too!
