I was watching a friend's soccer game on Saturday with two female friends and I got a first hand look at how harshly the ladies judge guy's bodies.
After the match ended one of the players took off his jersey to get changed. His stomach was a couple of kilos off being flat and they were visibly turned off by the fact that he didn't have a flat stomach, saying how he was hanging over his shorts and such. I've been shirtless many times around these girls and I have more fat on my body than he does...now wondering what they think when I take my shirt off.
Since when did it become expected that every man has a flat stomach and toned muscles all over? Since when did a small stomach represent the end of the world?
Also...I was clubbing with friends for a mate's 21st on Saturday night. I know this guy is gay, he's not really my type but that's another issue. I thought I looked very nice but the only person who was looking at me all night with any sort of interest was him. I was dancing, I was smiling, I dressed up..what does a guy have to do to get some kind of acknowledgement from a girl so he can make a move without feeling like a complete wanker/creep?
