I've still got an itchy rash on my body, its not too bad but its uncomfortable and looks nasty, and disappointing that i may not be able to have a second dose now, no idea what's going to happen, will talk to my doc. Oh well.
See how you go, I had the AZ jab and had aches, pains, shivers for 24 hours and then it went away, take paracetamol but if you are concerned, consult your doctor. I hear a lot of people get a reaction who had the AZ jab, suppose similar to you, your body effectively attacking the vaccine and hopefully giving you antibodies.
I had both Pfizer injections several months ago (work in healthcare). First jab, no reactions. Second jab, soreness in the shoulder, a bit of malaise. It all passed within 48 hours.
The clinicians I've spoken with stated that if one's reaction is severe, one would likely have had severe symptoms if actually getting COVID19, perhaps even hospitalization.
Hugh, my friend, I'm glad you got the jab. Hope your second dose is not as bad, but don't be surprised if it is. Have heard that Pfizer is working on a "booster dose" to be available in 2022 to help offset variants, etc.
Also, my own perspective is that vaccines like these will become routine as with the annual flu vaccines. It just depends on how this pandemic ends and how the next similar event begins.
i talked to my regular doc and she said its a common reaction to get a bit of a rash, nothing to worry about, all goes always soon, get the second dose.
you know, as long as it doesn't tarnish my deluxe jumbo junk or leave a mark on muh babe face, i think were coolio for another sting!
