Hardcore or Not?

I am going on a cruise in April and I need better results as far as my physique goes. I am bouncing back from a back injury I got last spring. It's better now, and I have started back running and lifting about two weeks ago. I'm starting to see results in my arms, shoulders, upper chest area, but not so much in my abdominal area. Any idea what I can do to get quicker results in my abdominal area? I don't need to have the shredded or ripped ab look, I am comfortable being toned in that area.

Intermittent fasting is a great technique that also gradually decreases food cravings.
But it depends on how stressful and involved other areas of your life are

I can usually just have two coffees and even work out fasted in the afternoon, eat in the window 3pm - 9pm, stay fasted the rest of the time

However, as I've upped my gym effort my body has been calling for calories in new ways
 
I agree with everyone above. Just watch your diet and the extra pounds will fall off pretty quickly. Your body is already looking great though!
 
I have been on this journey for a while now (see some of my blog posts on this subject) and I have to say it is really more about how i feel now than how I look. I have been on a calorie deficit diet for months without suffering...upped the cardio to boost my 63 year old metabolism, and it has made me feel great. I am just more vibrant. But, I think I have to say that the major turning point comes with drinking water. Seems so counter intuitive...like won't I feel bloated? but somehow, with my body anyway, the water does a lot. So it costs nothing (I can drink tap water here) and certainly doesn't hurt me. Anyway for what it's worth if you don't already add that in maybe?
