He's gone again. :frown1: My daddy is back in the hospital.
He's been home about a week and today was the first day the physical therapist was able to come to the house to work with him.
Mom said he had a little trouble getting to the door when she rang the doorbell, but he was able to make it with his walker. Once the PT was inside he got light-headed and weak and couldn't make it out of the entryway to the living room. His legs got weak and he just sort of collapsed. :frown1: The PT had never seen that happen and suggested we call 911. So we did and they came and took dad to the ER . . . again just like they did on 12/27/2008. That was around 4:45 cause I remember Oprah was almost off. While waiting the PT took his vitals and his blood pressure was 90/60. Which is way to low.
They did the usual tests in the ER and finally admitted him and got him into a private room around 12:40 AM. I remember cause dad was pissed that he had missed Letterman. :biggrin1:
He was also a bit grumpy because after PT we were supposed to go to Applebee's for dinner. They wouldn't let him eat in the ER because of all the tests they were running. By the time they admitted him he had gone 12 hours without food. :yikes: So I asked one of the nurses if there was a way to get him some food since the cafeteria was closed. She was kind enough to bring him a turkey and cheese sandwich, some graham crackers and applesauce.
Mom and my stomachs had been growling at each other since about 8 PM so we left and went to the Waffle House. I know it's not haute cuisine but it's the only thing open after midnight in rural Georgia.
So tomorrow the treks back and forth to the hospital begin again. :frown1:
