I survived hysteroscopic myomectomy :)

Howdy y'all, I had my surgery Tuesday morning and I guess it went well. Nobody spoke to me about it in recovery which I thought odd...then again the whole day was odd.

Aside from my 78 yr. old mom falling in the waiting area and ending up with a quarter sized, goose egg over her right eyebrow all went well. This is the 2nd time in 3 years my allegedly, responsible adult has had an 'issue' the day of my surgery. The last time I was living in Jersey but had surgery in Pennsylvania. My idiot friend decided to stop at Walmart for an oil change while I got my prescription filled. Her check engine light came on and she freaked out because she knew she was supposed to have had an oil change like 2 weeks before. This was after I had informed her 3 times I was in pain and just wanted my drugs and to go home and sleep.

More on all that later . They've got me on some wonderful pain meds and I am starting to feel a bit woozy.

congratulations on getting this out of the way and that is fantastic it went well with no complications. enjoy the pain meds. and rest a lot. take care!

Heal, quickly dear. Hang in there and remember "Once an adult and twice a child" For some its none of the first and three of the later...

I'm glad the surgery went well. That's the most important thing. Get well soon. :flowers1:

My mom is a tough old bird. While she did not fall on purpose, she does love to be the center of attention. The goose egg above her right eye was gone before we got home. However she still has a nasty purple bruise on her eyelid which did not appear until 2 days after her fall. I'm keeping an eye on it as she won't go to the doctor just to make sure all is okay.

As for me I had the balloon catheter removed on Tuesday which hurt like HELL coming out. The doc did warn me I would feel discomfort like a pinch. He lied. It's like having a large sticky band-aid removed from your arm. Only it's all internal. So I just imagined it tearing away layers of my uterus. This was of course followed by 2 more days of bleeding and pad wearing.

To make matters more annoying Tex is gonna be home for a while and I am under strict doctors orders not to insert anything in my vagina. :irked:

Honestly, if it weren't for bad luck, some days I wouldn't have any luck at all. :frown1:
