Perhaps the least interesting blog entry on LPSG, just a few thoughts about sports injuries and rehab activities (dislocated my shoulder in the spring):
Sometimes prescription meds aren't necessary
Sometimes prescription meds aren't necessary
- I was prescribed a number of subscription meds after my injury, but I found Ibuprofen to be completely adequate. I wonder if this opioid crisis would be less of an issue if doctors didn't prescribe so much intense pain medication? Then again, I suppose everyone is different. Just wonder though.
- Lol no it isn't, but I will say that my insurance covered a lot more than I needed. Again, I'm sure it's different for everyone (plus my injury didn't require surgery), but the rehab appointments were pretty basic. I mean I appreciate the help, but not sure it's worth the $300 bill each time.
- Getting injured (to the point you can't move limbs, etc.) sucks. Being in a sling or a cast, brace, etc. really stinks. Show compassion for friends and family that have injuries of this type. Yes there's a lot worse to experience (i.e. cancer, etc.), but being severely injured sucks too.
