It pays to complain sometimes..

So my old cellphone was becoming ancient news and I was in need of an upgrade.. I went to my service provider and hummed and hawed over which device I wanted to get. I knew everyone was telling me iPhone but I'd break the damn thing inside of a week!

The guy working there comes over and we're talking and I decide on a Blackberry Torch, the newest 4G one that still gives me a slide down keyboard and the new fangled touch screen...

Then I go into my little rant about my old Pearl, how it was an inconvenience to pull the battery 5+ times a day, get the spinning hour glass everytime I go and do something, and a list of other things!

Lo and behold, he felt my pain and really helped a girl out. Not only did I get the phone for free, three year warranty for free and my connection fee waived, I got 2 free cases, my phone plan changed to a better one with more features AND it saved me $13.00 a month..

Now, the fun of trying to figure out how everything works. At least I was able to transfer everything from my old phone to my new one all by myself.. and I remembered to slip in my old microsd card in so I have all my music, ringtones, pics, videos, etc.. yay!

I'm a happy lil girl!

That's awesome! Don't ya love it when a techie helps ya? Its why I love tech. I'm not personally a fan of RIM or much of the BlackBerry line, but I can understand how people can be comfy with a brand. I had the iPhone, after much convincing on the part of my wife. I eventually tired of it, and grew to loathe iTunes. I switched over to Zune and the windows 7 phone. While lacking some features at first, it put music at the tip of my fingers and my gaming and office(it has a Microsoft office suite that I love) so for ME it was the phone to go with. I'm glad you found a phone that fits you. I still like my virtual keyboard, not the real keys. Not sure why. Just do. The squeeky wheel does indeed get the oil.

I'm starting to key used to the virtual keyboard and not sliding down the regular keyboard as much *lol*

the main reason I stuck with blackberry is because of overseas contacts I chat with for free with the bb messenger. I didn't want to pay 50c a text when I text upwards of 7000+ a month *lol*

My wife and daughter both have Blackberry's and love them.
I've heard that the i-phone needs re-charging often.

I'm all for the iphone!! But Blackberrys are great for bb messenger etc.

Cell phone companys here in Canada get you one way or another Jaded.. I'm sure though you worked your charm on him/her lol

It was a him... and well, the shirt may have been tight in the chest area and I may have been leaning over the counter alot *lol*

Every now and again you'll run into a helpful sales tech who is looking for return customers... (hehee)

yay for you and your new phone.
