Ok, so I wanted a clean kitchen.
1. Empty the dishwasher.
2. Load the dirty dishes.
3. Clean the flat spaces(counters, stove tops ect..)
4. Sweep the floor.
5. Mop the floor.
6. Relax in front of the TV.
Seems simple until a week later....
I wanted a clean kitchen.
Asked the wife to clean the kitchen while I was at work.
Arrive home from work to find my garage trashed, dishes everywhere, no dinner cooking, no wife to cook dinner, contact paper stuck to the floor in a very messy and random pattern in differing sizes, and a very expensive carpet knife in a bowl of water.
About that time the wife pulls up with a car load of Wal-Mart bags and a receipt for 300 dollars.
I mentioned to her that I thought we had agreed on the kitchen being cleaned.
She then began yelling at me at how she was not appreciated, and could I not see all of the work she had put into the kitchen...
I asked her what work...
1. At 9:00 am she decided to clean the kitchen
2. Wife started emptying the dishwasher.
3. She placed some of the silverware in the drawer and stops to pick at the corner of the contact paper.
4. She starts rinsing dishes to place in the dishwasher(no she did not finish unloading it)
5. While collecting dishes she notices a crack on the mug handle of a coffee cup.
6. She goes out to my garage and empties every drawer on my tool boxes looking for super glue.
7. She finds a carpet knife.
8. She bring the carpet knife into the house and starts scrapping at the contact in the silverware drawer.
9. She gets all of the contact paper from the silverware drawer(leaving the silverware on the counter)
10. She places the knife in the sink...(wtf)
11. Starts rinsing dishes again along with the carpet knife.
12. Notices there are still dishes in the dishwasher and starts putting those up again.
13. While placing bowls in the dish cabinet, notices that it has the same contact paper that once resided in the silverware drawer.
14. Out come all of the dishes.
15. Out comes the now dripping wet carpet knife.
16. Eventually out comes the contact paper.
17. She went to Wal-Mart and bought contact paper ( in three colors ...she just could not decide), 10 tubes of super glue( apparently we were out), a new set of coffee mugs (an entire set of matching plates, bowls, ect..) and some easy to fix dinner pizzas...
Well folks...I now pay a house keeper 65 dollars a week to come in and clean the kitchen, laundry room and living room.
