Manscaping vs. Natural Bush

I have always been envious of guys with hairy chests and legs. I wasn't yet 11 when I started getting pubic hair. I started imaging myself as a man with a hairy body. The reality was my bush filled out, but the rest of me remained relatively hairless.

When I was in 7th grade it was the first time I ever was naked with other boys. I had a full bush by then and many of the other guys hadn't even started getting pubes yet. I guess most of us were 12 and I was just ahead of the curve. After gym class we showered. There were two P.E. Instructors and they had a shower stall in their office, but sometimes one or the other came in to use the main showers. Both of them had hairy chests and I recall being in awe of them.

My penis continued to grow, but most of the boys my age passed me in terms of body hair. I was grateful for my above average cock, but my desire for body hair was what I dwelled on. By the time we were 17 one of my good friends was getting chest hair. He loved having his shirt off and I am sure I probably stared at him more than he was comfortable with. He saw me looking one time and asked what I was staring at. I told him I envied him for having a hairy chest. He said he would trade me in day for my bigger dick. Seems many of us always want something we don't have.

When I started college I saw a lot more hairy guys. Not too long after my first year began, I became a nude model for drawing, painting, and sculpting classes during periods I didn't have classes. There weren't many male models, but the one I saw had shaved his pubes off. On an impulse I decided I would do the same. This was before the manscaping craze so he and I stood out.

I was very sexually active all four years of college, both with men and women. Because I went to an art school, and posed nude for most of the students at one time or another, my sex partners weren't often surprised when I stripped down, but there were some who were caught off guard. I will say, nearly all of them told me it was sexy and enjoyed giving me head because I was smooth.

That was a couple decades ago. I grew to like the smooth feel for sex and with the realization I was mostly hairless anyway, it seemed to suit my body. My wife is much more eager to suck me when my skin down there is silky smooth. When I got out of school and joined a gym I was generally the only guy without pubes in the showers. Now, I am one of many.

I have two sons. The older one is almost 20 and he takes after me. He has just a bit more body hair than I do, but removes all of It. My younger son is 17 and he must take after the males on my wife's side as he is what I would call at least moderately hairy, if not more. When I let my pubes grow out recently during home sheltering (photo below) he commented one day that it looked like I was finally growing up!

As my pubes were growing out for the first time during our marriage, my wife would make comments about liking her new boyfriend. But, as the hair grew longer I also saw the decline in her interest in going down on me. That, combined with really closely looking at myself in the mirror one day and thinking "this isn't me," caused me to go smooth again.

I still love seeing all of you hairy guys here at lpsg, but I have also developed a true love and appreciation for a totally smooth man. I am happy we live at a time when it is acceptable to be either way.

I am curious to hear from you guys about how much body hair you have and whether you like it as is or do some manscaping.

I'm just too lazy to do manscaping, I wish I were hairy too. My boyfriend doesn't mind the fur, he loves to touch it and smell it. Just the lower back I trim or shave when it doesn't look good. Great post man.

:confused:My technologically challenged mind considers this to be your first posting @Hanging6x6. Guessing that I have to be less "lazy".

As stated elsewhere, I no longer prefer "hairiness". I admire manscaping efforts.

:confused:Really confused now!!! Your multiple postings have disappeared, and weird things are occurring as I attempt to add this comment:(.

Yes, the first two without pix are now gone. The whole time I was adding this post today everything was acting strange and different. I am happy I saw and read and reread your comment before it went away. Sorry that it also disappeared, but thanks for taking time to write it.

I'm relatively hairy, and I have a love-hate relationship with that...
I like going smooth all over but it's such a hassle that normally I'm just trimmed... On the other hand my BF and previous partners enjoyed seeing me hairy. Hell, my BF specially gets in this super-submissive-bottom-mode when I have long chest hair and that kind of body worship does wonders for one's self-esteem...
But I don't like being or going hairy...

I know exactly what you are talking about. I think ultimately each of us has to do what feels right for us. I have very little body hair so to remove my bush is no big deal at all. I have done it for so many years that it feels right. Thankfully both my wife and my fuck buddy actually prefer me hairless, but neither object if I grow it out. My buddy is quite hairy and I love it on him and envy it, but if he ever chose to remove it all, I would fully support his decision. My wife removes her pubes so I can enjoy going down on her and I do the same for her.

For you hairy guys I know it can be much more challenging, tedious, and time consuming to keep the lawn mowed. It also can look so unnatural when you see a guy who shaves his pubes smooth, but there is still hair on every surrounding area. I know there are guys who say a real man has to leave his body hair natural and I 100% disagree with that. I am very masculine and to me body hair has no relationship at all to masculinity. A hairy guy may look more rugged, but they are two different things. If I look through all of the pix here on LPSG, I find I am equally attracted to men who are completely smooth and quite hairy. Some of the most manly looking guys on here, in my humble opinion, are smooth.
