Matricide isn't murder . . .

If I can get my blood pressure down and settle my nerves long enough to stop thinking matricide is worth the time I would have to serve. :angryfire2: I will blog about what my beloved mother did today to set me off; :irked: and put me in such a foul mood. This may take some more wine. Yes, I have already had one glass of chardonnay.

AH yes,

You are suffering from what my mother herself refers to as the "eat good, son" mentality. I was just fussing about this last night to a girlfriend. I do not know why women devalue each other's opinions or knowledge when a man steps into the picture. The reason it is called the "eat good, son" mentality is because that phrase harks back to my own mother's mid 20th century college experiences. She used to tell me a story about being in the unfortunate position of getting in the cafeteria line behind the football team and having the cafeteria worker
(Someone's mother or grandmother) dish up more than healthy portions of food to the guys with the exclamation "Eat good, son! "while giving her the total equivalent of three tablespoons of the same food and malevolently gazing at her and challenging her to say anything about it. Damn their mangy hides. Didnt they know that perpetuating this type of self hatred to the next generation of young women would only continue the cycle of women devaluing themselves and in turn each other?
Tune in for the continuing saga of "Eat good, son! "

Ahh yes, I recall the "Eat good, son," phenomenon at VSU in the mid 80's.

Two glasses of chardonnay, a hot fudge sundae, and a good nights sleep later. I have calmed down . . . a bit. She and I shall have to talk later today.
