My blog and favorite porn for the day! P.S. I need help with my car!

Hey everyone...my car is acting up. It takes a while to start in the morning. I have to keep turning the key for like 3 minutes before it finally starts up. Someone said it might be that theres dirt in the gas so he recommended we get two of those "tune up in a bottle" that cleans the gas. We got that and its still not working. Someone said it's the starter so I called the dealership (its a Mazda) and they said $550. I was like WTF? Then somebody else said its not the starter because if it was it wouldn't start up at all. Then somebody else said it might be the transmission but less than 2 years ago I got AAMCO to rebuild my transmission. Nobody seems to know what wrong with it. My grandmother decided maybe we should take and put it on a diagnostic machine. We call around and everybody wants atleast $100. We wouldn't mind paying the $100 if they were going to take it off the cost of getting it repaired but they don't. I need my car fixed before I go back to college in August and being that my grandmother ispaying for it she doesn't want to pay her money to someone and they don't fix the problem (i'll get to something like that later). I don't know what to do. The dealership is expensive. I can't help to think that this had something to do with another dealership. Here goes the story: my air conditioner wasn't getting cold so my grandmother says it must be the antifreeze. We take it to the shop and he says that a squirrel or something must have went under the hood and ate the wires or something. Then he tells me I need a new battery. Nothing ever seemed wrong with my car but he insists that if I don't get it fixed i'll eventually break down on the road or something. Being automobile illiterate (I once got a flat and told the guy he couldn't change my tire because I didn't have a skrewdriver) and so was my grandmother we dished out 300 bucks for a stupid wire to get replaced and a new battery. This was in late May. Every since then my car has been taking some time to start up. At first it was just momentarily and now it takes three minutes of turning the key to get it to start. Oh, theres more history with this shop. Two weeks ago I'm riding in my car and the air conditioner isn't running. I take it back to the shop and he says it will cost me another 80 bucks!!!! I'm pissed but I pay him. Every since I went to the shop my car has been having problems. I think they did something to it so I could come back. This car problem is really bugging me and I don't know what to do.

Now, to the next story of a rip off. Yesterday my grandmother had a licensed plumbing service come to our house. When we take showers water runs downstairs into the pantry. He comes in and checks it out, makes his diagnosis and writes how much it will cost to get it repaired. He tells us we need a new toilet (???), new sink faucet(???) and new knobs on the bath tub and a new shower head. I felt something was wrong right there. We don't have any problems when we flush the toilet or with the sink faucet. The leak only happens when we take showers. Of course my grandmother never listens to me and doesn't shop around. Before I knew it she told him he could do the work. I grab for the slip to see how much he says it will cost. My mouth dropped when I saw $1,000. Holy fuck! Thats alot of money! He does the work and later that day he prsents us with a new toilet and stuff. It looks okay and my grandmother pays him. Today my brother is taking a shower. Me and my grandmother are downstairs cooking. I hear something in the pantry so I tell her to check it out. She opens the door and its raing cats and dogs! She paid 1k and it made the problem worse. She calls him up and he says he'll be here by 3. He comes and checks out the leak and tells us we need a CARPENTER. WTF? We shouldn't have to pay someone else because you gave us the wrong diagnosis! After me threatening a lawsuit (Political science major:smile:) he agrees to pay for the carpenter himself. His has been a long day of being pushed over.

Now, in response to what someone recommended to me I will now post my favorite porn video of the day so here it is below: ENJOY!

Oh, and please comment on what could be wrong with my car:confused:

Go to www.aaa.com redirect and find yourself a AAA inspected car repair facility.
Or find yourself an ASE certified mechanic from ASE Blue Seal Shop Locator

Both are much less likely to rip you off than a generic garage and are likely to be much more competent.

It's likely something to do with the fuel delivery or ignition system. It might be a fuel pump. It could be the fuel filter but often if the filter is clogged the car will stall or lose power while driving.

An honest mechanic is hard to find.
don't do my own cars any more.
Lose the mechanic - QUICK!

Plumbing problem - a carpenter won't help. That guy is a thief also.
You take a shower and water leaks downstairs in the pantry. The only thing a carpenter will do is replace damaged wood - and if you don't stop the leak it will happen again.
Most likely the leak is either from the drain pipe (old place with old pipes? - newer drain pipes are plastic and can't corrode.)
OR - problem with the grout or cracked tile in the shower.
OR - leak around the seal where the drain hole in the center of the shower meets the floor.

I actually have a friend that would love to hear you crank your car (he's got a car cranking fetish).

Unfortunately, sometimes the only way to resolve issues like that with your car is to get a new one. I've had machanics mess things up before, pressed one to resolve it but by the time it was all done, it would have cost less and been less hassle to take it somewhere else.

AAA does monitor the repair shops - if they get complaints about a AAA recommended shop and the shop doesn't make it right, they can loose their AAA status. You should also have a AAA membership. The fee for membership is less than the cost of one tow in most cases. Ok, I'm sounding like a commerical - but they also have a car buying service. To me it's the single woman's shining knight of car buying. I called the guy, he found the car, negotiated the price for me and all I did was go pick it up and sign the papers.
