My Circadian Rhythm is Broken
I slept from 6:30 AM until 5 PM Saturday. I got up to tinkle at like 8:30 but that was it. I slept all day. :12:
My circadian rhythm is broken. This has been going on for about 2-3 weeks. It is not the first time my sleep has been 'backwards' as I call it. The first time was the late summer, early fall of 2006 when I was really depressed and sick with Meniere's Disease. My Meneire's has been attacking up a lot lately; but I don't think that's the sole reason for my being awake all night and asleep during the day.
I have been trying to reset my circadian rhythm; but alas, no luck. :frown1:
One night last week I took a Benadryl at 11:00 PM thinking this would ensure sleep until at least 7:00 AM. WRONG!!! I woke up at 2:00 AM and couldn't get back to sleep before 7:00 AM.
when I go to sleep at 7:00 AM I ususally sleep until about noon. Then I am groggy throughout the day. Sometimes I nap in the late afternoon; but I try not to so I can go to sleep at a reasonable hour in the evening. I am not a morning person. I do not relish seeing the sun rise or hearing the birds chirp. I need this nonsense to end! :cussing2: My days and nights are completely backwards.
Is there a doctor in the house? How do I change this? Does anybody have any logical suggestions?
