Worked for me.
Everyone I meet there, that has to the potential to become a boyfriend, turns out to be an easy quitter. This last one said "I love meat too much" in response to my being vegan... even though my profile says I'm only vegan for my health and don't mind working with meat for others. This was after a few back and forths of pleasant conversation and now he hasn't replied to me saying "that's not an issue".

The one before that ended up being a quitter for a slightly more valid reason - he wanted kids and I don't. But god, nobody on there understand compromise... no matter how minor, if any.

OKCupid rules.
If they say they don't like you for a silly reason, they probably have a deeper reason they don't want to talk about, or are afraid it will hurt your feelings.
I've gone out with over 20 girls from there over four years. Don't expect much from it, just relax, get some experience, meet some people.

Sorry...but you'all must not have any type of game. Ok Cupid works great for me...it's like being a kid in a candy store.

I've been on it for a while and just recently deactivated my account on there. Although that's been my experience with gay guys in general, so I don't really know if it's just the site or something beyond that - whether it's me or the gay guys in my area.

I don't know, it seems to work for some people. I suppose you need patience and gotta match up with the right guy (or girl).

I used to think it was just gay guys in our age range that acted in such a negative way. OkCupid is showing me that age really is just a number, in that respect. :/ The people it works for seem to be those looking for hook-ups. I'm guessing the ones that built relationships there built them after some random sex-fling... but that's just me being cynical, right?

OKcupid does not work as well as you imagine. That's all. I remember my first account, I would read the forums, and all the people talking about it not working. But they were expecting to hop on OKCupid and have a girlfriend in three weeks. You are talking "boyfriend" which scares people away from the get go, and creates awkwardness. I don't know how gay guys think, but my profile is bluntly honest, with a lot of humor and sexual innuendo thrown in. I say things that would make most girls run away on it, but it is honest enough to attract those who feel the same way about some things.

Of all the sites, I think it is the best. It is free form, no rules, except picture rules, and the questions are great.

And yeah, people are looking for relationships on OKcupid too, but really sex usually happens before a relationship. That has been my experience in real life or online.

So, I got into my assertive side and put my foot down with the guy that inspired this post. Surprisingly, being an assertive hard-ass has led to us texting back and forth constantly. I hate being the "aggressor" as it makes me feel like the 'top' in the relationship. I'd much rather be the chased, passive partner as I have to control enough in life as it is... but eh.

@Seattle - yea, my profile is extremely blunt, honest and highly... HIGHLY detailed with a few perverse jokes thrown in. Definitely a den of awkwardness. I agree that it's one of the better sites out there - I've been on Match, compatible partners, planet romeo, gay.com and a few others over the years.

The guy I'm talking to is like me and doesn't believe in sex on the first date, so hopefully that's a good sign.

Edit: Aaaand now we're planning on meeting up next week. n_n;
