One down, two to go.

This is "birthday week" here around the IntoxicatingToxin household. Yesterday was the BF's birthday. We couldn't afford to do anything real fancy, but I surprised him with a few things. On my way home from work I stopped and got him his favorite pizza from his favorite pizza place. I stopped by the grocery store and grabbed a cheesecake for dessert. Then I stopped by Netflix and rented a few movies. The munchkin was at a friends house all night so we were able to lay in bed together and watch a movie (which we haven't done in months) and vegged out with our favorite food and favorite dessert. It was nice.

Thursday is my sons 11th birthday and my fathers 72nd birthday. Gonna have a small party for the kiddo, not sure what we are going to do for dad yet. He doesn't generally like doing ANYTHING for his birthday, nor does he like presents. I might stop by Baskin Robbins and get him a quart of his favorite ice cream. He'd appreciate that, at least.

sometimes the simplest things are the best things and most remembered. Love the idea of a night alone just vegging out in bed watching good movies together... cuddling..

and for the kid... good choice... his favorite flavor
for dad... hey I know mine is just happy when I visit (to hear him tell .. not nearly often enough)

Yeah, my dad is one of those grumpy old guys that's impossible to buy for. He never wants or needs anything. Mostly he just appreciates being acknowledged, and maybe getting a card.

I managed to buy a handful of presents for my son and I know my brother is getting him some pretty kick-ass stuff, so he should be happy. I'm just happy to have the day off work! Lol. Yay for sleeping in and spending time with family. :)
