Almost done moving! We have one more load to go get in my dads pickup, and then we're done... and I'm pretty much completely moved in. I was unpacking as we brought stuff in the house. Just a few little things here and there that I haven't found a place for yet.
I got my first manicure today... because I bite my nails, they had pretty much nothing to work with, so I got a new set of nails, and a french manicure. They're really pretty, but they're hard as hell to type with - and they're not really all that long, either. Just a short ways past the tip of my finger... but that's longer than I've ever had then in my life! This whole typing this is completely foreign to me now...
I've been pretty strapped for cash lately, so I did a clinical trial of a flu vaccine today. They paid me $200 today, and I'll get another $50 in 22 days when I go back for some blood work. I feel fine so far, but let's hope I don't die, okay? This whole "clinical trial" thing makes me a bit nervous...
My son and I are watching the movie "Hook" at the moment... this was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and I had completely forgotten about it... it's still just as much fun to watch now as it was when I was young!
I may have an opportunity to go out to the bar tonight... it's karaoke night, plus Chris is working. But again, this flu vaccine thing is making me nervous. I don't know why. Earlier, immediately after being given the vaccine, I was able to psych myself into thinking I was sick to my stomach. I didn't throw up or anything, but I sure didn't feel good for a couple hours. I was able to talk myself out of it, though, and have been feeling better ever since. I know that the odds of me having any reaction are slim to none, because I've never had negative reactions to vaccines or medications. It's just how my body is - it gets along with just about everything. Also, it's a vaccine that is currently in use in Europe, and has been proven safe and effective. My biggest fear is getting the flu, though. I absolutely despise being ill.
One thing I'm having to get used to again since moving in with my father... is having to go outside to smoke. I haven't had to do that in over a year, and this is just weird. Now, when the weather is nice, I'll voluntarily go outside to smoke because I like being outdoors, and the less cigarette smoke in the house, the better. But having to do it EVERY TIME I smoke is getting a bit annoying. One of my favorite things to do before was sit on the computer late at night, talk to people, watch movies, whatever... just surf the web... and drink soda and smoke cigarettes, and now I can't do that. lol. But, I guess if that's the only thing I have to complain about, I should be happy.
