Reason #859462 Why I Love Him

It's just one more indignity of pregnancy.

A few days ago I wrote about one new change since just one week ago is that I can no longer see past my bellybutton, which I discovered when I decided it was time to groom my pubic hair. A few hours later I learned that I am dangerously incompetent at grooming myself using a wet/dry epilator and a mirror to see around my belly. I took off a lot of skin and I stopped before I got close to my labia or my extremely sensitive areas, but I damaged myself in the crease of my right leg fairly badly and in a few spots at the top of my pubis mont before I decided that continuing would be truly stupid!

Today I looked at it in a mirror because it still hurts so much, and to my shock, there are four wounds that look like a knee that's been scraped on concrete! That's right, Miss Petite has a scabby kitty. It looks terrible! Definitely not sexy or pretty. It's a scary ouchie kitty. :frown1:

I called TheBoyfriend, "I just looked at my kitty in the mirror! Why didn't you tell me how bad it looks? Do you think it's going to scar?"

He said, "Aw, I know, honey! I saw it last night. I'm so sorry. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make you feel self-conscious. I was hoping that you wouldn't look. I think it will be okay in a few days."

His answer just melted my heart. He didn't want me to feel bad about how it looked! He's always thinking of me, caring about my heart. He is so sweet to me. It's just one of those little everyday things that shows how much he thinks about my feelings, and I think that's romantic.

Comments

He is definitely in LOVE with you and a Keeper! The fact he made no comment shows he is very caring about your feelings and that is so rare in men these days.
Ask TheBF if he could help in the grooming during the rest of the pregnancy? My husband would trim me while pregnant and it would always lead to wild Fantastic sex.

Enjoy!

Hey! That's a good suggestion!

Although if we use the epilator it would quickly turn a bit more bdsm. I might lose that glimmer of sweetness.

My first thought was to be silly and say something like "I just threw up, just alittle, while reading that..."

Then I realized I'm horrible at showing my true silliness on this site so I'll just say something along the lines of "Awwwww...."

And seriously Petite OUCH! What on Earth were you thinking! Maybe you should use a razor for now? Or let him do it? :eek:p

I have no idea how it happened! I didn't even know that it's possible to hurt myself like that with that thing. It's not exactly my first time using it. I was using a light lidocaine spray, but that can't possibly explain it, either! It didn't look that bad immediately afterward either, it was just extremely pink, but it hurt like you wouldn't believe!

Something else weird happend a few days earlier. I have this body brush that I brush my skin with, as part of my "anti-strech mark" regimen, and the last time I used it, I got a huge rash and the skin turned really red and that was odd. I've been using it for weeks now and just now it's given me a rash for the first time. It's like my skin is suddenly much more easily damaged, or it's much more easily exfoliated off now, so much easier that I can get scrapes with ease now. It's so bizarre. I looked it up online and I can't find anything that describes something like that happening during pregnancy.

I think I'm going to have to go to a salon to have it done from now on. At least as soon as I've healed. :frown1:

You know I wonder if your skin is just stretched thinner from the baby weight gain? I'm not sure of course since I have never been pregnant, but I would think that as your skin stretches it becomes more fragile. I would think you are more prone to irriation because of this. Of course I'm not a doctor, I'm just throwing my two cents out there. I do know that when I started to get some stretch marks along the upper sides of my breasts a friend recommended I try coco-butter lotion... big mistake as I broke out in hives. I'm sure you've asked your OB about recommended stretch mark regimens? I used that mederma cream and I can't even tell where those little lines are anymore. The joys of getting old Boo-Hiss!

I don't think it's the tightness of my skin. I used the epilator on the area around my belly button without the spray and it took off no skin and that's the area where the skin is the tightest. No rash there, but each spot where the hair was plucked turned red. My skin is a lot more sensitive, and I don't think the cause was just the epilator by itself.

Something made my skin come off very easily. I've used the epilator lots of times and you can press it right up against your skin and it doesn't do anything except pull out all the hair. Most of the time I use it, I don't even look very much while I do it. I watch TV while I do it and I've never hurt myself before.

I looked up more info on the internet trying to figure out what happened and apparently pregnancy can cause contact dermatitis with substances that previously didn't cause it and the pregnancy hormones can make your skin super sensitive. It could have been the spray or the Bactine. I looked up photos of contact dermatitis and that's the way it looked. It's possible that I sprayed myself, my skin reacted, and then I rubbed it in with the epilator which took off the top layer of skin.

I did a little experiment. I sprayed the inside of my elbow with the lidocaine spray and then rubbed the inside of each elbow with a cloth. The one I sprayed turned redder than the one I didn't spray.

I've brought it up the stretch mark cream and exfoliation advice with two OBs. One said there's no evidence that anything helps, the other one said, "It might help. There's no harm in trying." Neither of them recommended anything. You are the second person who recommended Mederma. I need to buy some of that! You're the second person who said that it worked for little marks. I haven't seen it anywhere and everything I'm using I bought at the mall. I think I need to mail order it!

I think I just have to be more careful with my skin for the rest of my pregnancy. I've already begun switching over to baby safe products for extra sensitive skin for the baby's sake, so maybe that will help my skin, too, now that it seems to be more sensitive. I stopped using cosmetics and most stuff you put on your skin (wrinkle creams, night creams, acne meds, perfumes, etc) months ago because of phthalates and other potentially dangerous things for male fetuses, just in case, especially since phthalates have been found to cause development disorders in male testicles and it can cause boys to develop testicular tumors before the age of 12! Just like with my diet, I figure that I can survive 10 months without these potentionally dangerous things, because the potential consequences of exposing the fetus to toxins could affect the rest of my child's life. I know I'm probably more cautious than most moms, but I've had so many friends bear children who turned out to have very serious problems like ADD or learning disabilites or language acquisition problems or autism or behavioral problems and that has caused those families so many issues that avoiding wearing a nail polish or using a lotion with phthalates in it or some other ingredient that is suspected to cause problems is such a minor inconvenience in comparison IMO. When I've been in doubt about the safety of something, I avoid it completely, just in case. I take growing a healthy baby very seriously!

He really is a total sweetheart! I adore him! And he definitely loves me!

I hadn't thought of having him groom me. I'm afraid I'd probably complain too much during it the entire time for it to be sexy! I'm such a wimp about pain.

It would probably be hilarious.

I'm so weird. The idea of you tying me up and gagging me while weilding the epilator sort of turns me on.

Could you oil up your chest first? Maybe wear a pair of leather pants and some leather boots?

Stop calling it a kitty or I will find a real kitty and sacrifice it to the god of stupid words for cunts.

Please.

I like it! I've never heard it called a kitty before I came here. I consider it LPSG slang.

I'll use it less often, just for you. 'kay?

I'd call it a conejo instead, but I think it would just be confusing.
