So I got an email from my ex. Where she explained her reasons for doing what she did.
She says that she has a lot of worries and concerns about her future/career and that she just wants to be alone right now. She claimed that it's not about breaking up with me, but that this is an important time in her life and she needs to really sit back think things through.
Me being the type of person that I am, I kind of accept what she says, but I can't get over the way that she did it. I just can't accept it. Why did she go to facebook first and change her status? Why not call or email me to explain? I feel like I would never have even learned that we were separating if I hadn't read it on facebook. Also, why is she still using that dating site if she wants to be alone? Her actions haven't made any sense to me.
I can believe what she's saying. "I hate my job," is her favorite discussion topic and she has expressed concerns about getting older in the past as well. So, I'm not bothered by her reasons, just the way she did it.
The way she decided to end our relationship has made me feel really bad and bitter about the relationship as a whole because this experience has only exacerbated the self-worth, trust and abandonment issues I've had for years.
