Short

On Saturday I turn 26. I feel a little strange about it. There really isn’t any celebration in turning 26. I mean we (in occidental society) make such a deal of turning 1, 5, 10, 13, 16, 18 and 21 – and indeed to a lesser extent – 25, but 26 just feels kinda flat. For reasons that I will not elaborate on here, it is an achievement that I even made 1 year old.

Aside from that, things are pretty good. I haven't been well the last few days: migraine and a slight tickle in the throat. I actually think I might postpone my party, that's how ill I have been feeling. Still, Saturday is some time away.

26 letters in our modern English usage of the Roman alphabet.

The gematric value ascribed to the name Yahweh in the Kabbalah.

The only whole number in the world to fall between a square number (5x5) and a cube number (3x3x3).

But you don't need me to tell you that every year of life is worth celebrating to the fullest on account of its very uniqueness, rather than because it has been ascribed some 'special significance' through haphazard and/or arbitrary numerical traditions.

You will be well, and you will party!

Feelin' better guys. Got a bit scary for a moment there, but I haven't the time to explain now. More later in the week.
