Songs That Move Me

As you may have noticed from my earlier playlist, I'm an eclectic kind of girl. I collect beautiful music and videos especially if it's not my usual fare.
Then I research the band, find all their songs, and they've made a fan for life. I am constantly on the look out for new and brilliant. These songs I can't listen to without moving and rocking it.

Garth Brooks (country) - "Ireland"

Tom Waits (rock) - "Kommienezuspadt" My brand of mind fuck

Janelle Monae ft. Big Boi (neo soul) - "Tight Rope"

Outkast (hip hop) - "Morris Brown" I love Monae so much, I recognized her in this uncredited video.

Corinne Bailey Rae (soul) - "Put Your Records On" My grrrl empowerment song HOLY shit! Thank you, Hornytoad11 for correcting this bad link!

Cas Haley (reggae) - "Easy"

Ky-Mani Marley (reggae) - "Live the Life"

Damian Marley ft. Nas (reggae/hip hop) - "Road to Zion"

Fu-Gees (hip hop) - "Ready or Not"

Weezer (alt rock) - "Island in the Sun"

Flogging Molly (folk punk) - "Worst Day Since Yesterday"

Operation Ivy (punk) - "Bombshell" Oh, yeah!

Sublime (ska punk) - "Rivers of Babylon" I have enchanted many campfires with this number.

Goldfish (electrodance) - "We Come Together" Awesome band from South Africa--they are 8-bit influenced.

Jack Parow (zef) - "Dans Dans Dans" Fuckin' love this South African!

Deadmau5 (trance) - "Ghosts N Stuff"

Parov Stellar (electroswing) - "Catgroove" The sexy dancer is Forsythe.

Caravan Palace (french electroswing) - "Bambous"

Avatar: The Last Airbender sndtrk (asian) - "The Blue Spirit" This is my stealthy ninja theme song.

Avatar: The Last Airbender sndtrk (ballad) - "Secret Tunnel"

Freezepop (synthpop) - "Genius Science Girl" I first heard it on Frequency for the PS1. SEXY as HELL! Also, it's an AMV.

DJ Hmx & Plural (electronic) - "Cool Baby" From a video game!

Chris Child ft. Melissa Kaplan (electronic) - "Shades of Blue" Not only is this my favorite song from Amplitude for the PS2, it's also my best song.
To give you an idea of the game play--this is the slowest song to beat. You press 3 buttons in time to shoot the note, building more of the song.

Great music! I've never heard most of these styles...thanks for introducing me to them! i'm kind of stuck in classical, jazz, musical theater...but I love hearing stuff I've never heard before and expanding my horizons! LOVE the "Kommienezuspadt"!

Love the Janelle Monae song, and the Corinne Bailey Rae (though I didn't like her second album as much).

Wow what a list! I am not so with me songs... I have a eclectic dyslexic side of me, that keeps me from remembering lyrics and some what nots when I listen over and over.

Me mind focuses on the melody and that is mostly what I hear.

So titles is mostly what I can recall when identifying songs as to find them in selections.

I took a look at me mostly played songs... though they be random and gave a wee list, as the last time I just gave bands that I thought were less known by you, and was mostly correct.

Here be a few uplifty songs from me list that I could find on youtube.)

Beat Farmers - Country Western Song - YouTube

TEMPTATION - The Tea Party - YouTube

Helloween - If I could fly - YouTube
