Ummmm, is this a live large in big Texas ad, from the Texas bureau of tourism???)~ Ya done did stay up late dint ya.

Arkies have alot of them say'ns, as well...

Warsh yer cloths... I aughta... tar yer fanny... Also a few words most peeps don't hear much in other states; britches, talley whacker, pickup, and pop.)

I'm almost in tears I'm so homesick!!! I love it!

I was raised near Dripping Springs, and I remember how wonderful it was to go on vacation in Laredo once! Laredo!!! Have you been there lately? I must have been really sheltered, y'all!

And yes, I'm somewhat embarrassed about how many times I say "y'all" in a sentence everyday.

Now I live in Florida, and people always ask me to say something - anything! Just to hear me talk. I get somewhat embarrassed, but it's just who I am. You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girl!

Thank you for bringing a little bit of Texas to me.

That's funny, my friend just moved to Ft Hood 2 weeks ago with her husband, I'll have to forward this to her :biggrin1:

Kudos &
As a longtime Texan, I can concur with those quips, as you share like:
"If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you may live in Texas;"
- You are One, or you can LOL with those who do live here !
:beerchug:
