The wind, she is a blowin'

OK, so I've raided the store for stuff easily prepared on a camp stove, stocked us up on firewood and diapers for the baby. All the summer lawn furniture and yard toys are picked up, Halloween stuff is either secured to it's spot or hiding in the garage.

Car is set incase trees fall. The propane heaters are prepped, flashlights primed, generator ready to go at the drop of a dime and the big blankets on the bed.

Here it comes...

WIND STORM 2007!!!

Last year we were out of power for 8 days, but this year we are ready for it. BOOYAH!!!

If you don't heare from me for a couple of days, just airlift supplies into Cottage Lake. :biggrin1:

Epilog

So the storm blew and we lost power... For five minutes. In our end of town it was over by about 10 and all it did was piss down rain.

Thanks for the well wishes.

NJ, Gitana, and Notthe7? Next wind storm, I have the single malt scotch, the makings for gumbo on a camp stove, a Twister board, and some baby oil. So yes babe. Your ass would be entertaining. That or we could watch some GOOD horror movies on the laptop.

Yes Mr O, it sure did blow. I was pretty lucky too- no power outage and no damage, tho as you know others werent so lucky! I did have to be outdoors in part of it, finally taking pity on my crew (actually myself, lol) went back to shop where there was no power- let everyone go early then dodged quite a few branches and drove around a few downed trees on my way home.
I'm glad you were well prepared, its only just begun. !!
