It is the morning after. The battlefield is littered with fallen Planet Heroes and Transformers, all is quiet for the generals are sound asleep. No longer is my living room overrun by the sounds of racing games on the X-Box. Instead I take this quiet time to ponder back on some of the funnier, sadder, more exciting moments of the year 2007 that will end in 5 short days.
Snobby School Parents
My neighbor, like all of us in my house, is a huge comics fan. More expressly X-Men. She has a wonderful Honda Element which has a sticker in the rear window reading thus:

The Xavier Academy

For exceptionally gifted children
I am still dying laughing at the neighbor who saw that and seriously thought it was a private school in our area. Even going so far as to post to the community forum asking:
"Where is The Xavier Academy? Is there a waiting list to get in? Please respond ASAP as my little one is registered at Chrysalis and I'd really like him in a more exclusive school."
Needless to say said idiot neighbor blames us for looking like a fool when we specifically told her no such school exists in real life. Not our fault she thought we were lying to get one up on her. Twits are everywhere. :biggrin1:
The Great LPSG Jihad
The plethora of religious sparked and threads turned religious (in some cases I don't know HOW they got turned that way).
Tio celebrate the end of the Jihad, I am having some bumper stickers made up. For $5 a sticker you can adorn your bumper with any of the following:
Cocks For Christ
or
WWJD: Who Would Jesus Do?
or
I found my Yule Log at LPSG
or
In the name of the Freddie, The Pecker, And the Admin Rob
You have to admit, you can't help bt laugh about it hindsight. Next up, Benny Hin loses sport coat and whips it out to put the healing on. That would put new spin on the term "cock slapped".
My LPSG Voices
This year I was honored to converse with five of the LPSG voices:
Cigarbabe and Mr. Ed - You two are much beloved in our household and cigarbabe? My neighbor says you sound like her favorite Aunt. Sorry I coudln't talk yesterday, I was getting whiskey refills from the neighbors.
TattooedMamaMeg - You are such a sweetheart and friend. I can't wait until we get back to Kansas City so we can finally hang out.
NJQT - You have the sweetest and most infectious laugh. Thank you for sharing a night of me instructing my 5 year old on how to "pick this up".
Notthe7 - You are such a sweet sexy lady and I can't wait til you get here for college so we can bring you in as the other adopted daughter.
People online that have truly touched my inner soul
There are tons of people on this site that have moved me with their hearts and minds, but a few stand out in my mind:
Veronica_Divine - She was one of the first people I encountered on this forum during a very low period in my married life. Her friendship, encouragement, and ability to listen saw me through.
Arliss - I know a lot of people hate on Arliss, but he was the first person to not only welcome me, but truly be a gracious and welcoming soul. Though he and I don't always agree, Brother Truth Speak always holds a special place in my eyes.
Naughty - many a day I wanted to chuck it all in and one person never would let me. That was naughty. Always there to make me feel better, let me rant when I needed to, and to guide me through the sometimes murky LPSG waters. Thank you.
Spoiled Princess - Always gracious, wiser than 10,000 people, and an honor to know. Congrats on the new addition to your family.
DC_Deep - I'm truly at a loss for words with you my friend. I've known you a little amount of time, but it already seems a lifetime. Thank you for your always kind words.
Lex - Your posts have given me thought and insight into a soul I would love to get to know as a friend.
Thickhead - You better get your butt over this side of the mountains for that beer.
bigguy2738 - A truly kindred soul. He and I on parallel journeys, but from different sides. A man who is growing and starting his new found life. Through your sharing I understand more and I am incented to give and share more of myself. Thank you for being guided into my realm. I am a much better person for the meeting.
thatgal - Here is the forum spitfire. When I first got here, she had more troubles than any person should have, but life never gets her down and she never quits. If only I had a tenth of the strength you have doo, I could conquer anything.
And last, but not least on my list of things...
My little Princess
Everyday she grows and learns more. strutting around in her Christmas finery, she is already learning to work a room just like her mom and dad. A true socialite in the making. My daughter wil be a world leader, a scientist, a basketball star (Daddy wants a Bentley), and a housewife. Bottomline my girl will be whatever she wants to be and she will be a success at it. My daughter will end up on the cover of TIME and I am sure on Rachael Ray's stage showing her one of the dishes her daddy made for her as a child.
I am sure ther is more and I will post as they come up, ubt you must admit, this is a nice start for having 5 days left to think of all this.
