They're playing Christmas music in stores already!

This boggles my mind. I'm writing this on November 8, and when I went to HEB tonight they were playing Christmas music! WTF??? It's not even Veteran's Day yet! They probably started playing Christmas music right after Halloween.

I remember when stores didn't play Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. I prefer that. I'll bet all the people working at those stores would prefer that too! :biggrin1:

I do have to admit that I find certain Christmas music amusing when played here. I mean, "Winter Wonderland" and "Frosty the Snowman" in San Antonio??? :biggrin1: It's 80 degrees outside! This amused me to no end the first Christmas I was here. I was hearing all those songs and I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt. It's not like Indiana where one year I wasn't able to drive to my parents' for Christmas until late afternoon on Christmas Day because the interstate was closed due to a foot of snow on the ground and on the roads!

lol... well, maybe when people start writing Thanksgiving songs they'll play those instead!

I kinda like the instrumental Christmas music... it's kind of soothing. =)

I also remember the days when Christmas music didn't begin until Black Friday. This is just too early for it....

They are doing here in so calif as well. On Oct 28th Target was playing christmas music and it was 98 degrees outside, lol.
