To my Friends

It's been months since I last posted. I'm so grateful for all of your kind thoughts.

We survived Christmas and New Year, uneventful as it was. I opened a bottle of Cava for the New Year toast, but was criticized for drinking a second glass!

Our teenagers are struggling to get through their exams. The oldest may start driving soon! They are studying hard and worried about their futures. I do empathize, as I am still wondering what I am going to do when I grow up ;-)

The youngest has now literally grown out of her room, so we are extending into the loft space. It's cheaper than moving and less disruptive to the kids. I would be really excited about the project (buying tiles, bathroom furniture et cetera), but I am so so busy at work. It is good to be busy in the current climate.

My wife's moods are still up and down. She is so sensitive to other peoples' moods; no one in our family seems able to produce a calming influence. It is quite the reverse; we are all so highly strung.

Valentine's Day was great. I bought her a card and a giant bar of Toblerone and the following day I was rewarded in away that I had almost forgotten was possible. It's few days ago now, but was a welcome calm in the storm.

The other major news is that my car failed it's annual test, so I sold it to WeBuyAnyCar.com for £105. I haven't had time to buy another as I am fully occupied at work and home. Thankfully, my wife has allowed me to use our other (her!) car until I can get organised.

Lots of love to all my friends
Xxx

Good to hear from you, friend....

IMO... you should buy stock in Toblerone :) One a day ... or once a week at a minimum.... Chocolate (not diamonds) is a girl's best friend

Small amounts of "the good chocolate" is good for you. And, I'm saying "good" Nestle's is not good cholocate. Doesn't even taste good. But, I'm ranting about american cheap chololate.

And....................Hi HorneyT11, Nice to read what's going on with you. Construction and a new car---Yikes!

Yeah..the work is well under way.The roof was off for two days in January, BEFORE it snowed. We'll end up with a large attic room with en-suite shower.
Is there nothing I will not do to gain approval?

Chocolate sure is aphrodisiac. However she found it just before Saint V day and shared it out amongst the kids and herself, saving three pieces for me :-(
