It's been months since I last posted. I'm so grateful for all of your kind thoughts.
We survived Christmas and New Year, uneventful as it was. I opened a bottle of Cava for the New Year toast, but was criticized for drinking a second glass!
Our teenagers are struggling to get through their exams. The oldest may start driving soon! They are studying hard and worried about their futures. I do empathize, as I am still wondering what I am going to do when I grow up ;-)
The youngest has now literally grown out of her room, so we are extending into the loft space. It's cheaper than moving and less disruptive to the kids. I would be really excited about the project (buying tiles, bathroom furniture et cetera), but I am so so busy at work. It is good to be busy in the current climate.
My wife's moods are still up and down. She is so sensitive to other peoples' moods; no one in our family seems able to produce a calming influence. It is quite the reverse; we are all so highly strung.
Valentine's Day was great. I bought her a card and a giant bar of Toblerone and the following day I was rewarded in away that I had almost forgotten was possible. It's few days ago now, but was a welcome calm in the storm.
The other major news is that my car failed it's annual test, so I sold it to WeBuyAnyCar.com for £105. I haven't had time to buy another as I am fully occupied at work and home. Thankfully, my wife has allowed me to use our other (her!) car until I can get organised.
Lots of love to all my friends
