I temporarily forgot that I have a mid-term exam at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning. So here it is, 11pm, and I'm just getting ready to study. Ah, college life. This exam is going to suck ass, too. 25% of the test is identifying five terms. Not just identifying, but explaining their significance. The other 75% of the test is an essay... and all the essay are supposed to be critical thought essays. The sucky part is, he gave us four essay questions to study... two will be on the test, and we get to pick one to write about. So I have to master four essays tonight even though I will only be writing one tomorrow. Here is an example of one of the essay questions... "Each of the texts we have read so far describe or contemplate life after death (or the absence of it). Each society contemplates this issue within a particular worldview, and this includes theological constructs as well as social stratifications. No doubt death is a universal aspect of the human condition, but it is described very differently in the texts we have read. Drawing from any three of the readings, how is this issue explicated and how, in your opinion, do the descriptions allude to man's relation to the divine and man's relation to man?" Ugh. As far as the five terms go... he gave us 25 of those to study, five of which will be on the exam. *sigh* Why did I want to enroll in college again?!?!
Wish me luck.
