Yay for milestones!

My son just rode a bike for the first time by himself WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS! WOO! He’s been SO afraid to take to the training wheels off, it’s been driving me nuts. He’s finally done it though! He needed help starting, and his method of getting off was to fall over, but he did it anyway! He rode all the way across the parking lot. :) Hell yes.

Yea!!! Good for him! I remember both my son's first bike rides without the training wheel's. It makes you feel great as a parent, doesn't it? Just to see the joy on their face is such an amazing feeling.

YEA!!! AWESOME!!!

I never thought about how parents must feel about that milestone.

I don't remember when I stopped using training wheels but I do remember my first big girl bike. It was bright yellow, had a floral banana seat and a white plastic basket with pink, orange and yellow flowers on the front.

I got it for Christmas and rode straight down the very slight hill of our driveway into the telephone pole permanently denting the basket. :biggrin1:

Good Times! I hope your son has many.
