Well, at least on the pop hierarchy he's seen as a bit of a B-list. He's very popular but he gets overshadowed by Olivia Rodrigo and similar due to Heather getting REALLY big early on and Superache mostly sounding like Heather because the label thought it would sell (it flopped instead but I still love it). He can often be the butt of pop stan jokes, which makes me a sad, but he takes it in stride.



I'd be surprised if this album doesn't change some minds on him because it's such a complete shift in sound from what people stereotype all his music as. People HAVE to take him more seriously now
