You know what, my black ass was about to say some ignorant ass shit. :joy: :joy: :joy:

Then, I stopped and said "you know what, there might be something to learn from this."

So sit down with me Beloved.

And explain to me how "Mexicans are biracial"

Please provide me with sources from the internet as well.

You didn't ask me but I might be able to help.
  • A landmark study, The Genetics of Mexico, looked at over 1,000 individuals across indigenous and “mestizo” populations. The authors found striking heterogeneity in ancestry proportions across regions. PMC

  • In general, Mexican mestizo populations show mixtures of Indigenous American + European + (in many cases) African ancestry. PubMed

  • For example:
    • One autosomal admixture study found Mexican mestizos averaged about 55.2 % Indigenous, 41.8 % European, 1.8 % African (in the sampled states) ScienceDirect
    • Another meta-analysis (across many studies) estimated roughly 62 % Native American, 32 % European, 6 % African (though with wide regional variation) Wikipedia

  • Importantly, these are averages. In the north of Mexico, the European component tends to be stronger; in the south, the Indigenous component is higher. ScienceDirect

  • Also, studies looking at the X-chromosome (which is inherited partly maternally) show that Indigenous Mexican ancestry is often higher there than on autosomes— suggesting sex-biased admixture (European men + Indigenous women) in colonial history. Nature
  • Indigenous (non-admixed) populations in Mexico also show deep internal structure, long histories, and distinct genetic identities. Nature

So in short: nearly all Mexicans (especially mestizos) are genetically admixed to some degree, but the proportions differ a lot by region, family history, social class, etc. And “mixed” here is more than two components.
