This question is for the straight men in the room. I see a lot of guys who have as sexual preference 1% gay or some other random low number and I wonder, what does that mean if we were to meet in real life? If you have 1% gay on your profile, what does that mean if we were to meet up? 79 percent straight is considered bisexual and sex with men and woman is expected.
The explanation of the low percentage has been answered many times and the answer is personal, some say is admitation of the male body.

I think the percentages on here can be viewed as subjective and can mean different things to different people, which was one of the reasons I left it blank for several years, especially given percentages of anything are not constant throughout time. An example would be that today one might feel they can lift 70% of their max on a lift, while the next time it might be 80%, only to drop back down to 70 or lower the third time, thus rendering ironclad percentages meaningless.

With that being said, I've settled on 1% for two reasons:

1. So, because of those two reasons, being "1% Gay" seems like a good compromise for myself and due to that, I think the most you (or any other gay man for that matter) could expect from me if we were to theoretically meet up is the same thing another straight man could expect: the potential for a platonic friendship based on conversation and shared non-sexual activities, with the addition of being with an ally who would have your back if you experienced homophobic hate. Nothing less, nothing more.
