I thought truth and justice was the American way? So the opening to Superman goes. Or is justice dealt these days without knowing all the truth?
Why should he care about Superman?
And justice, if dealt at all, is always dealt without knowing all the truth ... because we never do know all the truth.

Your contributions to this thread are pretentious, unnecessary, and inappropriate. You are way out in left field.

Who the Fuck are you to question someone's ideals?? Is there a purpose to this, or are you just enjoying harrassing someone for following what they believe in?

Your disrespect is appalling

You are a total pain in the ass in this thread.

@Mr. Bulldog: Very best of luck in your adventure. I hope it gives you all you're hoping to receive, and that you come back and tell your stories to the many people on this board who have come to like you and your posts.

Because I dare to sit on the fence, be the devils advocate? And ask questions? This young man is going to place his life or death on the line. I want him to be sure of his decision. As if he were my own son or daughter. So fuck off.

Me, being harrassing? I see someone that has posted twice or three times, about something they are going to do, and I think they may be questioning themselves about their choices. Choices of life and death. Offcourse I will ask questions if they be looking for assurances. You think I am going to assure them to follow something they are not sure of?

I excuse myself from your thread young fella. Be assured if you have no question in your mind of what you wish to do I be behind you100%. But it sets alarm bells ringing for me when one posts a second or mentions a third time they are going somewhere they may not wish to go. It is not a sign of disrespect, it is a sign of having faith in ones belief.

Bulldog, best of luck on the path you have chosen and congratulations on deciding to leave the nest and go out on your own. Making the decision to step out is the scariest part, so it's all good from here on.

Be safe, learn a lot and remember to ask questions.

I will address this and let it lay because you are way off base. I post for two reasons. First off because I have come to respect and confer with a great many members of this site and would have them know why I suddenly disappeared for several months. Secondly posting it self helps me organize my thoughts and deal with anxiety. Any person that is about to do what I myself am about to do and not be nervous is likely crazy. This is just how I relieve a little bit of nervousness. I'm not looking for reassurances though they do help. This is something I've always wished to do and have planned for over the last 10 years. I hope that defused some of your base assumptions.

I be more genuine then you will ever hope to be.

Uh...ya  because I'm the one that chose to chastise someone for posting about his excitement, along with his nervousness about a new challenge in his life that is quickly approaching.

:bsflag: you go with that

Whatever challenges his future choices may bring. You won't be the one watching his back.

Call me what you may. One thing I am not guilty of is self deceit. I will leave that for the herd.
Don't be so sure that you're sitting pretty on your own little mountaintop of evolvement.

The self-deceived, btw, do not famously acknowledge their self-deception.

"I will leave that for the herd."
Puhleez.

I do not know you and don't think we've ever interacted on here but I wish you all the best! I am a little older than you but I totally understand how nervous you are. You've heard stories, seen movies, but you still wont know what exactly will happen in bootcamp.
I know it's totally different, but I am even nervous like that before starting a new job.

P.S.: One good advice: Just don't watch Full Metal Jacket before you leave! :biggrin1:

10 more days till I leave for bootcamp. Really starting to get those butterflies. I've never been away fro my family for more than a few days at a time so 13 weeks is gonna be something else entirely.

The excitement is right there with my anxiety though. Almost palpable. April 23rd shall forever be a day that I remember as the jumping off point to a completely different life.
Good luck to you. Be well.
