This question's been asked before. There are threads, elsewhere, with some really good/interesting answers (search.) I don't think it matters what % (or not) a person puts, it's unlikely to be technically accurate. I assume, for instance, 99% straight means something like - Well, I think of myself as heterosexual but I admit I like looking at cocks, so I'd better say, 1% gay.
That's OK by me (defining differences between small degrees, say 1% and 5%, seems pedantic.)
80% straight, 20% gay suggests something more 'substantial' in terms of what that person's prepared to do one way and the other - though exactly what I don't know (it may differ from one 80:20 to another.)
You could argue with it 'til the cows come home.

How 'bout the simple idea that some of us list 1% the other way, cause no one is 100% pure. And no one on here is pure, at least not in the strictest sense of the word!
