Someone wrote shaving is an "unnatural act", hahahah, omg please..!![]()
I wrote that.
Years ago, when I stopped shaving, people constantly asked me why. The real reason was that I have the incompatible combination of tough beard and tender skin and shaving was causing me all sorts of problems. The reason I gave was that shaving is an unnatural act. That was in the early days of the gay liberation movement and opponents constantly referred to same-sex encounters as unnatural. So, at every opportunity, I (correctly) pointed out that shaving is unnatural, implying that people who shaved were committing an unnatural act. By pointing that out, I hoped to undermine the argument that something is unnatural is irrelevant.
It's interesting that no one cares whether or not something is unnatural unless it has something to do with sex.
