    Lets See Em!!

Trees, Houses, Living rooms... (Cover up any addresses if shown)

I'll have to live through you guys this year. Don't have the spirit or energy in me this year. (Unless someone wants to visit and decorate with me!)

    Heres 2009's display.

I think most of my Christmas decorations were thrown away last Spring. I was thinking about moving and tossed most of them in the trash. Oh well maybe I'll get a Christmas Card from Ex this year, and that will be my decor center piece.

One year everyone else went out, leaving my ex and I to put the tree up. We couldn't be bothered doing the tree, so we decided to decorate a Xmas Fire instead:

Oh that makes me sad Rikter! I've loved looking at your decorations every year.
I'm decorating next week. I put on some porn, a santa hat and a leather harness and become a naughty elf.

Wow, that one is beautiful and impressive as well! How small was it when you got it, and how long did it take to get that big?

Haven't put up the tree yet. In Germany we usually put it up and decorate it on the 24th. I'll do it a week earlier this year, but still 2 more weeks till I'll have tree pics.
But I'm gonna try and take a few pics of my decorations. I have lots of them (every window, balcony, almost every door, etc).

Your tree is BEAUTIFUL :smile::smile: I really like the way you did the tinsel - we've always done it horizontally or vertically, but I'll do it your way next time we use it.

    And it matches the wall . . . :biggrin1:

    Thank you.

I hadn't intended it to match the wall lol, the purple is my fave colour tinsel. i could have used a range of others, i've got red, gold, silver, blue, green, burgundy, turquoise, black and white. I daren't go to the local garden centre where it becomes a magical winterland of xmas baubles and tinsel with several colours i've not yet got.

Vertical tinsel??? I don't think i have EVER seen that!!! A slightly diagonal-horizontal is the best look definately.

In the good old days, mitchy, tinsel did not come in garlands, but in bales of individual strands much like aluminum foil hair. It also used to contain lead to keep it from flying around too much and children could be poisoned by eating it. It was a great way of keeping children busy though, to set them to the task of draping single strands of tinsel from every twig.

Nowadays I think they have switched to mylar films and the stuff has become too susceptible to static to be any use except in garland form.
