No decorations yet, but our Christmas Cactus is blooming.

Mine, too!

For one of the church trees that I do, I use completely natural decorations - pressed leaves, seed pods, twigs, dried flowers - to remind people that you can be the poorest person on earth and still have a beautiful tree.

That is cool.

Oh I love this! You've inspired me...

This will be my third and last Christmas in Buffalo. Because my time here has been aggravating and a trial in and of itself, I never bothered doing anything as far as decorating (holiday or otherwise) in my house. That being said, I do miss getting all Christmas-y, and look forward to doing it again next year in my new space. So, to be a part of the thread, here's a fun little video related to the topic. Enjoy.

My mom would probably freak out if she knew that I was posting pics of her house on a site about big dicks, so don't anyone tell her!

First pic: The mantel done in pine cones (dipped in gold paint) over lights and pine with ivory tapered candles and the nativity scene on the right.

2nd pic: The bough I put on the TV, pine with pearl lights, berries and cones

3rd pic: The main tree done in all gold stuff and clear lights. Many of the lights have reflectors or other enhancements on the bulbs. All the items are sprays and berries and gold dipped natural items like cones and pomegranates. There isn't a single ornament or garland on this tree.

4th pic: The kitchen tree done all in red. The [fake] leaves are all oriented to be horizontal with (wooden) cranberries. The leaves look redder in person.

I'm ready for the holidays. Mele Kalikimaka!
I'm going to run out later to buy candles for the menorah... Hanukkah is in 18 days!

Lovely tree, Nudes. One thing I have always loved about your house pics is that your house is always tidy :)

Thank you! I think it's as simple as that I can't stand clutter and in my house everything has a place and everything in it's place. If something does not have a place I find a place for it.

Great pictures, Nudeyorker. I love the colors you used. Those red ribbons are a great accent.

I did get distracted by the art on the walls.

I have a different themed tree every year.

This year it is "Simply Balls" (with the exception of 3 that are always on the tree every year) all of the ornaments are balls... Coz I like Balls...

I've had a different theme tree for the last 20 years... and only repeated three (the Candy Tree, HodgePodge, and Angels)

I wish we could see more trees... I love to look at hardwood!

Fancy your house and tree look beautiful. I'll have to try to take some close up photos of some of my ornaments. I've bought them in my travels over the years... I have ornaments from, Santa Fe NM, Israel, Germany, London, Switzerland, Japan and Italy.

I hope to have a collection like that some day. We're just starting to collect ornaments to represent various good memories we have together and the life we're making. We literally only have a few special ornaments now.

For one of the church trees that I do, I use completely natural decorations - pressed leaves, seed pods, twigs, dried flowers - to remind people that you can be the poorest person on earth and still have a beautiful tree.

I love it. I wish I had collected some of the beautiful leaves I saw this fall when the colors were still vibrant. That's such a wonderful idea for a tree.
