Who's excited for the NFL Playoffs?!

I didn't really watch as much football as I usually do this year, but I'm pumped for the playoffs. There are four teams that I wouldn't mind seeing win the Super Bowl:

1) Vikings (Blair Walsh, 'nuff said)
2) Seahawks (Always been a fan, even though they're on the opposite side of the country)
3) Bengals ("Ginger Power" Andy Dalton and A.J. Green are one of my favorite QB/WR duos)
4) Broncos (I love the Peyton Manning wins a Super Bowl storyline)

That said, there are a few teams I can't stand to see win:

1) Packers (One of my friends will not let me forget if they win)
2) Redskins (I have always despised Washington, and their whole division)
3) Patriots (See the Packers)

My official Super Bowl Prediction though...Denver 31, Atlanta 20.

Who does everyone else want to/think will win the Super Bowl this year?

If Cinci can get in there I want them to win. After that I want San Francisco, the 49ers winning would make me happy as would be the case if Denver wins. It would be extra sweet knowing they did it after disposing of Tebow.....who proved useless to the Jets.

I don't watch much nfl but I love the idea of a 1st yr qb possibly winning the super bowl.

I'm just glad college football is now going to the playoff system. Not to change or to hijack your topic ladristo.

It would be cool to see a Super Bowl between the Colts and the Redskins. Two rookie QB's, Luck vs RG3, but it won't happen this year.

Honestly , I think It'll be The 49ers against the Broncos, with the Niners winning it all.Although, I wouldn't mind the Broncos winning too . It would be a great comeback for Peyton Manning.

The only Team I don't want to see go far in the playoffs are the damn Patriots. Lol!

Football! A refreshing LPSG topic.

I've given up on trying to make serious and legitimate NFL predictions. Now I'll proceed to make a prediction anyway.

The parity is so great in the league that it's nearly impossible to call things correctly. The past two years, the Super Bowl has been won by two teams that snuck into the playoffs in the last week of the season and rode serious hot streaks: the Packers as a six seed and the Giants as a four. The previous year the Saints won it as a one seed but entering the playoffs on a three game losing streak. So you try and figure it out.

As a fan of the pathetic Jets, I can't stand New England. But they are the most logical pick to me out of the AFC. I trust Brady in the playoffs more than Manning, and the Pats already handled the Broncos this year. In the NFC, I'm picking Green Bay. I won't pick Atlanta until they win a playoff game, and I don't trust Colin Kaepernick to be enough for San Francisco. It's a quarterback league, so I'll roll with the two future hall of famers. I'm rooting for all three teams with a rookie quarterback. I especially love Russell Wilson and RG3 (but who the hell doesn't).

Packers over Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Me...I am not RG3 fan. I guess him playing for the teams he's played for (pro and college) make me dislike him by association.

I think you made a very safe pick with the Pats of course. You made a very good and legitimate argument. I was thinking NE and Denver would meet in the AFC Championship, with it being a slugfest much like NE/SF. Now though, I don't think NE will make it to that game. With the announcement made by Ray Lewis that he is in fact retiring, I think the Ravens could play spoiler to both of our choices now.

I live in the Heart of Patriot's country......Pats!(it gives the possibility of gratutitous locker room shots of Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski)

LMAO...you can have Hernandez and Gronk, I'll take Welker and Gostkowski. :biggrin1:

How crazy does it get in Pats country? I have a friend who is not from New England...yet he still is a little looney this time of year.

Bengals and Vikings lost yesterday. :frown1:

I didn't see the Bengals/Texans because of work. I was tremendously impressed by the GB defense though against the Vikings. They settled down after that first drive and stifled the Vikes' offense. Joe Webb didn't end up being as much of a factor as they thought he would be (unless you count what he did for Green Bay).

I'm down to a Seahawks/Broncos Super Bowl to be happy.

It was a tragedy the Bengals losing.
^Too bad Seattle will lose to Washington today. :D
Just hoping you aren't planning to make a living at psychic predictions.:biggrin1:
Russell Wilson is heating up. Hopefully, he keeps getting better.

I was glad to see Wilson doing so well and bringing the Seahawks to a victory,, it was rather unfortunate that Griffin now has a knee injury and may not be of use to the Redskins next season.

RG3 going down was not how I wanted the Seahawks to win, I wish him an AP-esque return. It's gonna be quite a weekend again, so many good matchups. I'm looking forward to B'more/Denver and Seattle/Atlanta. The winners of those matchup are who I want to win.

I don't think Baltimore has much of a chance against Denver. As much as I hate to see it, I predict another ring for Brady and the Pats. It would be nice to see Peyton get one more though.

SEAHAWKS!!!!!!

the hawks read-option out of the shotgun is nearly unstoppable, and they have the best defense left if irvin steps up. dream scenario, we crush the overrated falcons and then beat the packers AGAIN on the way to our first of many lombardi trophies with pete running the show. last but not least, they have the swagger of a champion.

broncos out of the afc - that d is the second best left and with peyton at qb, you always have a chance to win. that would make for a bronco busting super bowl.

Well at least the 49ers made it in! I will take them over the Ravens in the big game.
