My recent experiences in the forum caused me to wonder how the 25 or so people who repeatedly tell me their opinions represent "EVERYONE" might possibly speak for the entire membership. Much as I expected to find, less than 1% of the more rabid pack of jackals claims to represent the views and opinions of the entire membership. They don't. This also confirms my earlier claims that what actually takes place is that one of said pack pounces on a victim and the rest of the pack now has cover so they jump in to add their "AMEN" to the thread. For the record I label myself as the victim only for purposes of illustration. I certainly don't feel victimized. I'm a big boy and I willingly put myself into the fray. Even when people call me "twat" and other silly names I don't feel the need to run to the folks who police the forum to punish someone who hurt my wittle fweelings. Obviously the pack keeps many timid members from adding their words of support because they don't want to be ripped to shreds, too. It is similar to how people "don't want to get involved" when they see someone being attacked on the street. If you doubt my claims take a look at how many people view a thread as opposed to how many actually post. The more vicious the brawl in the thread the lower the percentage of those who participate vs those who post. Therefore, until you can prove that you have polled the entire membership and received a 100% backing of your claim please be honest and stop claiming to know the opinions of "everyone".
