It's ridiculous looking! :biggrin1:

It has no trunk, no backseat and for my current lifestyle no practical application. I would not feel safe driving that on the highway from Georgia to New Jersey. It looks like a good wind would make it take flight like Sis. Bertrille.

Interesting but small. It's good to see such designs advancing.

Advisory to those using Mozilla [the one between Firebird and Firefox]: the pop-mech page crashed my browser, twice.

blackkid, no.

It has a 15.9 cubic foot trunk. That's not horrible. And a good wind won't blow it away. It did say, however, that sticking your hand out of the window of a normal car driving 55 mph causes more drag than the entire body of this Aptera. Interesting!

absolutely fantastic.........but the big motor giants and fuel companies will try to put this company out of business so it cant produce them.

i hope their plans come to fruition making this car and a 4 seater version too........it may force the big motor giants to actually do something too instead of talking about it for the past 30/40 yrs.

I wonder about the safety of the thing. Blindspot doesn't begin to describe the lack of vision out the rear, cameras or no.

It may have only two seats and a small trunk but then so did Honda's Insight which sold 13,200 units during its run. If all they need are 500 units to be profitable then it might just work if they can keep costs down. Cost is the devil with small auto manufacturers and has killed off most of those who sought to make a (relatively) inexpensive but interesting car. The odds are not in this company's favor.

Still, I wish them luck.
