I picked up a job last week, just while I wait to hear back from the place I really wanna work at. The schedule is Mon - Wed 5P - 5A. Get it over with all at once, then kick back for the rest of the week, unless I'm called in for an additional shift.

Yeh, it's the same way there with working 36 hours and getting paid for 40. But anything beyond those pays like overtime, so it's like a hybrid salary-wage pay system.
My fiance's mom works as an RN and has the same such hours.

I used to work as a registered Nurse at a hospital.....I worked 7a-7p 3 days a week and got paid for 40 hours........they had an even better deal....work either 7a-7p or 7p-7a on Saturday and Sunday and get paid for FORTY hours.

and that is why you go to the emergency room and they give you two Tylenols and charge you $200 for them, plus the ER fee.

Sounds good. I work 10 hrs a day 6 days a week. Hopefully only for one more month, then we can relax.

Actually...the reason they offer RN's such nice work schedules is there happens to be a SEVERE shortage of nurses in the USA

My head starts to turn to pudding if I dont work for four days at a time. I feel the need to do something organized and/or collaborative, or I start to feel out of the loop. A three day work week would drive me crazy.
