No-one seems to have noticed that the great Max, one of the board's most prolific and interesting correspondents has now posted over 500 messages. Let us raise our glasses (and maybe other things) to him. I may tell fellow members that it's been my privilege to meet Max a few times and he is every bit as charming and entertaining as you might expect (I can hear him blushing now!).

Many of us owe you so much!
Your wisdom, insightfulness, and willingness to share and guide leaves more than several of us very deeply indebted! The younger guys especially have learned so much from you and your own life's experiences.
I'm just glad you've stayed with us for the long haul, too--through the many changes we have witnessed in the forum over (now) a number of years!
