All this demonstrates is a bit of impressive dexterity.

There's a tremendous difference between understanding music, being able to create it...and in simply memorizing a complex pattern of someone else's creation.

One is a human ability, the other is that of a well-trained monkey.

Wrong headed.
A lot of music making is inspired recreation of others' notes.
(Virtually all classical music, for example.)
Sure, the girl's technical skills are amazing.
But what she was doing in the true musical sense was hardly less precocious ... supple but steady rhythm, creation of mood, successively creating and filling auditory space in a way that, I'm willing to bet, carried most listeners nicely forward.
Not fair to call her a well-trained monkey.

She's a little girl!

Do you think Joe Satriani started out right away writing music?

I have the sneaking suspicion that you think all musicians are merely "displaying dexterity."
