Refugee shipwreck survivors arrive in Italy

Hundreds of migrants and refugees who survived when their boat capsized in the Mediterranean have arrived in Italy.
The Italian Coastguard says more than 5,500 people were rescued in just two days this week. Better weather is prompting more people to risk their lives at sea.

We don't have to look this far into the future.
Just have a look at Ethiopia!
No other country has so many refugees on its territory as Ethiopia (mainly from Eritrea and Sudan). But in the past 2.5 years Erithrea has experienced a massive drought and is barely able to feed its own population. It doesn't look like it would start to rain this year and the situation will become even worse!

We will face a massive hunger catastrophe, where millions of refugees in Ethiopia and new Ethiopian refugees will have to leave this area!

But still, the world doesn't seam to care...

If the leaders of the world don't care for dying Africans, at least they should care for an increasing number of refugees.
In 2017 we will have 1.000.000 refugees in Germany again and the government will react like they couldn't have known it better.

Ethiopia raid: Village children still missing

In western Ethiopia, dozens of children are still missing after a cross-border raid last month.

More than 700 migrants may have drowned in the Mediterrnean trying to reach Europe in the last few days, according to the UN.

The UN's refugee agency says the migrants died as their unseaworthy smuggling boats sank south of Italy.

Carlotta Sami, spokeswoman for UNHCR, said that an estimated 100 people are missing from a smugglers' boat which capsized on Wednesday.

Migrant boat tragedies like those in the Mediterranean Sea could happen in the Channel, the French coastguard has told Sky News.

The warning comes after 19 migrants were rescued off the Kent coast after their inflatable boat started sinking

It has been reported they had alerted their families in Calais, who raised the alarm with the French authorities.

A call for help was made off the coast of Dymchurch in Kent

Those in the group are now being questioned by UK Border Force officials.

One arguement for the EU Turkey deal was to "rescue people", by closing all the dangerous ways and offer legal ways...

Migrants turn river laundry into business in Ivory Coast

In the Ivory Coast a laundry service has sprung up on the banks of the Banco river.
Workers, who are mainly migrants, have turned clothes washing into a mini industry and the scene is fast becoming an attraction for visitors in Abidjan.
They hope to earn money to return home or start a new life.
