5.5 is actaully plenty for me. I am still rather tight and a thicker girth i think would be to painful.. Also i do think 9" is alot but its better to have to much than not enough right?

The difference between 5.5" and 6" is pretty minor. If the question had been 6" x 6" vs. 9" x 4.5", I think the answer is pretty obvious. Both 5.5" and 6" are above average on girth.
