That was the first song that came to mind. There are also their songs "When We Make Love," "Touch," and "Sex Me, Talk Me."

I have to add Berlin's Sex. God Terri Nunn was hot! The most beautiful female pop star of the 80s, no question.

I was more into John Crawford at the time. Pity he's a born-again Christian now.

Another that comes to mind is Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop."

As wonderfully homoerotic as the video is, in that delightfully cheesy style that's unique to the 80s, I think the song is more about youthful rebellion and the way adolescent boys tend to band together in gangs or tribes, feeling alienated from and critical of the adult world.

I think Duran Duran songs are interpreted in many ways. Either it is isolation, sexuality, lonliness, despair, sex, or all the above. It is very hard to describe some of their darker songs because some of those songs are not pop hits at all.

I never really thought of myself as an April Wine fan (I was more into punk, new wave, alternative, and funk), but this song had a title that always gave me a chuckle, and it's a pretty good song, too. (Although I admit I wouldn't like it nearly as much if it wasn't for that title, which is sung several times during the chorus!)

U2's Twilight was pretty controversial for 1983. I honestly thought the lyrics were about a young boy's sexual attraction to an older man, hence the homoeroticism expressed in the lyrics: Boy Meets Man. But then again, maybe I am wrong on that.

Fact is Bono tried to walk back from the (obvious) homoeroticism of Twilight after U2 crossed from college radio to stadium concerts. I remember reading an interview in the mid-ish 80s where he was quoted as saying that the song was an allegory to the physical changes of adolescence, that it had no implied suggestion of homosexual conduct.

I also recall reading that The Edge came out gay around the same time as Pete Townshend, which they both later refuted.

Those were interesting lyrics that U2 has written. Not even the late Michael Jackson would have come with something like that. Prince definitely.....but Michael....not in a million years. He was a writer for the typical pop world of the 80s, but he would never have dared to touch on the subject on sex or sexuality. Prince......he could touch on any subject there was. Rick James....drugs or sex...but mostly both.
