Trying to remember how brown his eyes are or just how tall he really is,
only makes you wonder what you've forgotten.
Trying to remember how warm and safe you felt in bed all dark at night,
only makes you feel a little cold and afraid.
Trying to face the warm summer's sun that each new day brings,
only distances the brilliant moon light of that winter's eve.
Trying to tell him how he makes you feel,
only loses you to the words that would make sense.
I miss you. x
